He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a Bronze Star recipient serving during WWII. He was employed as a Quality Control Supervisor at the former Jackson Rope Company in Reading. He was a Lay Minister for 25 years at Saint John's U.C.C. in Sinking Spring. Mr. Borry served as a Charter Member and Scout Master of Reading Troop # 42. He was a member of the Ephrata Lodge F. & A.M.
Surviving are two daughters; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a step-sister. He was predeceased by three siblings. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mohnsville Cemetery, Mohnton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association , 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
