She was born December 28, 1925, in Hot Wells, LA to Jesse Carlton Walding and Ada Walding and lived most of her life in the Alexandria, Ferriday, and Natchez areas.
She was owner of the Red Top Seafood in Ferriday for many years and was last employed at Natchez Community Hospital.
One of her greatest joys was playing the piano with her longtime friend, the late Ms. Audrey Laird, reading, working crossword puzzles and playing cards and dominos and spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Raymond Stricklin and her siblings: Carnel, Claudys, Leonard and Mark and one son, Duane Stricklin, and one grandson and two great grandsons.
She is survived by four children: Frank Stricklin and his wife Patricia, of Silverdale, WA, Michael Stricklin of Natchez, Anderson Stricklin of New Port Richey, FL and Mollie Stricklin Cornwell and her husband. Larry of Wichita, KS and one daughter-in-law, Peggy Stricklin, She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
She was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many and God has a very special angel with him now and she will be deeply missed by all.
