Leigh Marshall McNurlin was born in Lushton, Nebraska, April 16, 1887, and died July 22, 1961.
The son of Joseph and LaVina McNurlin, he was the eldest of 3 children.
He was married to Hattie Michaels, December 8, 1909, and they had 6 children: Arthur of Omaha, Gerald of Omaha, Bernard of Council Bluffs, Nellie (Mrs. D. F. McDonald) of Omaha, Ilene (Mrs. Ronald Fletcher) of Tucson, Ariz. and Irene Estep of Omaha.
He moved to Boone County in 1910. He carried the mail in Boone county for 33 years. He retired in 1952, when he moved to Omaha. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie, March 4, 1949.
He leaves 6 children, 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Byrl Stone of Palo Alto, Calif.
Funeral services were July 25 at First Baptist church, Albion, Rev. Don E. Griffith officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Sever Johnson sang, accompanied by Mrs. Walker-Walling.
Burial was at Rose Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were Claude Moridith, Roy Sparks, Monte Wright, Horace Whipple, Clay Sparks and Earl Maricle.
