Larry Abarr
1947 - 2014

Larry Abarr passed away on April 8, 2014 with his wife Ellie by his side. He was born on January 30, 1947 in Eugene to Gladys & Herbert Abarr. He graduated from Sheldon High School in June of 1965. He married Ellie Kuiper-Buck in Lake Tahoe, Calif on Sept 24th 1977.

Larry was a Vietnam Veteran, 1st Calvary United States Army. He worked for 42 years as a railroad engineer for Southern Pacific/Union Pacific Railroad. Larry spent (years) in the antique business "collecting" -- otherwise known by his family and friends as a pack rat. Larry loved to get out and ride his Harley, spending time with his brother Gary Lynn, and being at home with his family and his cats. He was a devoted husband, father and loved his grandchildren more than anything. Larry is survived by his wife Ellie of 37 years, three children, John, Lisa and Ashley and four grandchildren, Shiawna, Connor, Molly and Ben. Brothers Terry Lee Abarr and Gary Lynn Abarr. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad.

There are not enough words to express what "PAPA" meant to his family. Larry took his final run up the tracks with grace and dignity.

At Larry's request no service will be held.
