Born Oct 20, 1847 in Oregon Co., Missouri to William Perry Martin & Martha Dankin Quick Martin. On April 24, 1865 she was united in Marriage in Mansfield, Missouri to Lorenzo Dow Haskins a Union Soldier. At the time of her death she had 42 Grand Children and six Great Grand Children. She labored in raising her family, spinning & weaving and making most of their clothes by hand. She didn't get to attend church often but instilled in the minds of her children, of which there were eleven, reverence for God and the truth of his word. Rev. R. F. Haskins, her son, in a Memorial published in the Ozark County Times, Gainesville, Missouri April 12, 1918 stated "May all her children all live lives worthy of such a mother, and meet her in a home that will never be broken up."
