Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Monday, January 7, 1946, page 2:
   Miss Juliet Barnett, 73, died Sunday morning at 6:40 in her residence at No. 9 St. Andrews place after a short illness caused by a heart ailment.
   On February 22, 1872, she was born in Hamel township to the late Thomas and Albina Barnett.  She had reached the age of 73 years, 10 months and 14 days.
   She is survived by three nephews, A.H. Stubbs and Edwin S. Barnett of Edwardsville, and James Barnett of Canada, and one niece, Mrs. Esther Dippold of Edwardsville.  Two brothers, Dr. Otis Barnett and Anson Barnett, and one sister, Mrs. Sabra Stubbs, preceded her in death.
   Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m., from the Marks-Weber funeral home.  The Rev. W.E. Bush, pastor of St. John's Methodist church of which she was a member, will officiate.  Burial will be in Quercus Grove cemetery in Hamel township.
