Daughter of Charles Everette and Almira Ann Housel, she was born in Odell, Gage Co, Nebraska. They moved to Oklahoma Territory arriving on Christmas Eve 1891. Lillie's parents divorced in 1897 and her mother ran a boarding house to support herself and her surviving family, that then consisted of Zella born in 1884, Lillie, and younger brother Clifford born in 1889.
Lillie married Elbert Williams in Stillwater on 1 Aug 1909. They had 3 children; Everett Leonard born in 1910, Monroe Edward born in 1915, and Doris Lillian born in 1922. She lived her entire married life at 512 N. Lewis in Stillwater and never learned to drive a car.
