Ruth B. Hill, 88, of Butler passed away at 7:45 p.m. Monday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Butler.
Born on Nov. 4, 1925, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Karl S. Kennedy and Frances B. McMurry Kennedy.
Mrs. Hill was a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church in Butler.
She enjoyed reading, playing cards and traveling.
She had been employed at the former Troutman's Department Store in Butler, and of late she had been a receptionist for Career Track in Butler.
Ruth is survived by her son; her grandson; her two great-grandsons; her stepdaughter; her sister-in-law; her three nieces; her two nephews, and her caregiver.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her late husband, James O. Hill, who she married on Nov. 23, 1986, and who passed away on Feb. 18, 2009, and her first husband, Chester Bauman, who passed away on July 7, 1981.
Hill - According to her wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral for Ruth B. Hill, who passed away Monday, Oct. 13, 2014. Burial will take place in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Mrs. Hill may be made to the Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., Butler.
Arrangements are by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Butler.
