Van G. Fussell, Sr., age 74, of North Port, Florida, passed away on October 15, 2013. He was born on November 1, 1938 in Leesburg, Florida.
Van retired as a Captain from the Florida Highway Patrol in 2003 after serving 30 years with the Patrol.
He is survived by his wife, Frances L. Fussell; a son, Van G. Fussell, Jr. (Gina) of Arcadia, Florida and a daughter, Rayna Sullivan (Kevin) of North Port. He also leaves behind four loving grandchildren, Jason D. Grant, Eric D. Fussell, Amanda Lugo, Jessica Sullivan, Blaine Wallace and five great-grandchildren.
