Ruth N. Scheffler, 68, of 3725 Neffs Laury Road, Schnecksville, died Thursday in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She was a sewing machine operator for Fernbrook No. 3, Neffs, for many years before retiring last year.
Born in Williamsport, Dauphin County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Charles W. and Naomi (Martz) Horner.
She was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Emerald.
Survivors: Daughter, Jayne, wife of Lamar Hamm of Slatington; son, David of Cherryville; sisters, Mrs. Esther Alderman of Pottstown, Mrs. Helen Kissinger of Wyomissing, Mrs. Fern Johnson of Birdsboro and Mary, wife of Kenneth Rothrock of Neffs; brothers, Luke of Inverness, Fla., Mark of Slatington and Paul of Slatedale; three grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
