Ida F. Golberg, 85, formerly of St. Louis Avenue died Friday, March 5, 1999, in Fairview Southdale Hospital, Edna.
She was born January 12, 1914, in Duluth to Rabbi Abraham "Abe" Cohen, Born 1885 and Died April 11, 1960 and Sarah Miriam Cohen, Born 1887 and Died Nov. 20, 1960 (FAG #57365880), and had been a lifelong resedent here.
She and her husband, Marvin, had been the owners of Marv's Bar in Cloquet and the Hub Bar on Tower Avenue in Superior.
She was a member of Temple Israel and its sisterhood, Adas Israel Sisterhood, B'nai B'rith, and numerous other organizations.
Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, a son, Cpl Larry Golbert, parents Abe and Sarah Cohen, a brother Bob Cohen and sisters, Ann Cohen and Fannie Fishman.
She will be greatly missed and always loved by her daughter and son-in-law, Bette and Glen Charney of Plymouth, Minn. Son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Ralph and Jeannie Golberg of Sacramento, California. Daughter-in-law Margaret Golberg of Columbus.
The family of Ida Golberg wished to thank all of our friends for their love and support. Ida's laughter, love and gentle spirit will live on with all who knew her. She touched many lives.
Service: 1p.m. Monday in Temple Israel and burial in Shaara Tzedek Cemetery.
