Francis Saloma Hare, daughter of P. S. and Susannah Hare, was born in Ross County Ohio June 7, 1857, and departed this life July 17, 1942, having reached the age of 85 years 1 month and 10 days.
At the age of 7 years she came to Missouri with her parents and made their home on the state line west of Amoret.
She was united in marriage to George W. Zinn. To this union was born twelve children, six of whom preceded her in death. Her husband also preceded her in death. She leaves the following children to mourn the loss of a loving mother: John P. Zinn, Milford, Mo.; Abe Zinn, Olathe, Kan.; Albert Zinn, Foster, Mo.; Susie Bolling, Adrian, Mo.; Alma Norman, Amoret, Mo.; Gladys Jackson, Excelsior Springs, Mo. Also one stepdaughter, Artie B. Noah, and a stepson, James Zinn, both of Sapulpa, Ok.
She had forty-six grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and fourteen step grandchildren. She has one sister, Mrs. T. P. Reece of Ontario, Calif., and one brother, J. B. Hare of Deer Lodge, Mont.
She was united with the Primitive Baptist church at an early age and remained faithful to her belief until death called her.
She was always a loving mother to her children and will be sadly missed by all.
Mrs. Gordon Hoffman and son Jimmie, and Misses Opal and Velma Norman of Chicago attended the funeral of their Grandmother Zinn, which was held Sunday afternoon.
