Funeral services were held Monday in the Roderick-Ward funeral home for Lee W. Barnard, 75, who died Friday in his home after a long illness. The Rev. J.J. Renz officiated.
Mr. Barnard was born Nov. 10, 1881, in Porter township. He served as Union township assessor from 1934 to 1955. His marriage to Lilly Kimberly of Waukon, Iowa, took place Sept. 14, 1911 in Janesville.
Pall bearers were Art Sands, Potter Porter, Laurence Janes, Willis Griffith, Russell Weary and Earl Van Wart.
Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.
