Siebert was born March 31, 1905, in Ripley County, the son of August and Margaret Sarringhaus Siebert. He moved to Marietta in 1928. He was retired, the former co-owner of the Schmalhausen-Siebert Oldsmobile Co. He bought into the business in 1959 and retired in 1982. Prior to that, he was a farmer.l
He married Ruth O. Waters June 29, 1926, in Napoleon, and she survives; with a step-daughter, Mrs. Jack (Phyllis) Gerline, Marietta; a sister, Mrs. Louis Jobst, Batesville; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
One son, Don Siebert, preceded him in death in 1981.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Murphy Mortuary in Shelbyville. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
Friends may call at the funeral home today after 2 p.m.
The family suggests memorials go to the organization of the donor's choice.
