New Haven, July 18. Stephen L. Dade, formerly an engineer of the N. Y. N. H. & H.R.R., the Central Pacific and Panama Railroad, died Sunday at the Soldiers' home in Noroton Heights, aged 84 years. Mr. Dade was born in this city, and for the last twenty years had made an annual visit to the city. His father was Langdon Dade, a sea captain, and his mother was Harret Trowbridge. He was a veterans of the Mexican war and of the Civil war, a member of Abel Smith post, G. A. R. of Long Island. He had been around the world many times in the course of his long career.
