Louetta Marie Sterner, of Gettysburg, passed away peacefully, June 24.
She was the daughter of the late Paul A. and Florence (Ohler) LeGore.
Mrs. Sterner graduated from Gettysburg High School with the class of 1948. She was a charter member of the Gettysburg Fire Co. Auxiliary, a member of the PA State Fireman's Auxiliary and a member and past president of the Gettysburg Eagles Auxiliary.
She was the wife of Charles W. Sterner, Jr., who departed this life April 6, 1965, and is survived by a son, Charles W. Sterner, III and his wife Bernadette of Gettysburg; two daughters, Corinne Weaver of Fairfield and Sharon Sprenkle and her husband Larry of Fairfield; five grandchildren, Charles W. Sterner IV, Matthew Sprankle, Stephanie Sprankle, Joseph Sprankle and Stacy Sterner; a great granddaughter, Chloe Krietz; and two sisters, LaRuth Stavely of Littlestown and Lois Ann Carbaugh of Waynesboro.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, LaVerne LeGore; and two sisters, Lorraine German and Janet Fidler.
