Cemetery book by Clark County Genealogy Society in the 1980's has this record abstracted as: HILLFE (Mrs. J. Hillfe, 7 May 1912). There is no Hillfe or Hillje that died in Washington or Oregon around this date. It is believed that there was an error in the abstract of this record. The only other "Hill" listed in the cemetery book was Mollie F. Hill, who was a wife of Frank Henry Hill prior to his marriage to Frances Louise (Gordon) Dunlap.

George Dunlap and Frances Gordon were married on 23 June 1860 in Centre County, Pennsylvania. They moved to Minnesota about 1872 and lived mostly in Marshall County. It is not known exactly when their marriage broke up, but by 1890 they are in separate places (Minnesota and Colorado).

Frances applied for a Civil War Widows pension in 1891. She claimed that George died in 1885, but the claim was denied when it was proven he was still living (and had communication with the pension board from Marshall County, MN in 1890.)

George's pension file says that he went to live in Montana in 1892, and Washington State in 1899. Frances was in Leadville, Lake County, Colorado where she married John Conkle (or Conkin). She again applied for a Widows Pension in 1897, but was rejected because George was still living.

In 1907 George moved from Washington to a Veterans Home in Los Angeles California, where he died in 1908. Frances again applied for a widow's pension, and was again denied, this time because he had divorced her in Montana in 1894, so she was not his legal wife.

In 1910 Frances married Frank Hill in Washington State. She died less than 2 years later.
