Candice Rae Bennett, 32 of 515 Chestnut St. Hinton died Wednesday June 3, 2015 at her home following a long illness.
Born March 7, 1983 in Hinton, Candice was the daughter of Kim and Kathi Stokes Bennett of Hinton.
Candice was a 2001 graduate of Summers County High School and attended Concord College at Athens. She loved poetry, writing songs, riding motorcycles and enjoyed being with older people. She was of the Baptist faith and was a lifelong resident of Hinton.
Candice was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lowell and Patricia Bennett.
Survivors include her loving parents, Kim and Kathi Stokes Bennett of Hinton. Maternal grandparents, Charles and Ann Stokes of Hinton. Counsins, Megan & husband Joe Frontiera of Half Moon Bay, CA, Seth Allen of Washington, DC and Tonya Allen of Washington, DC. Aunts, Debbie Stokes Marra & husband Frank of Beckley and Kristi Baldwin & husband Junior of Renick and Cheryl Allen & husband Benny of Elk Knob.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday June 5, 2015 at Central Baptist Church in Hinton with Pastor Benny Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon at the church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
