Lucy Jane (Pryor) (Irons) Hall was born on February 13, 1898, the daughter of James Wesley Pryor (1856–1947) and Nora Elizabeth (Branham) Pryor (1872–1927).

She was married 1st in September 1923 to J W Irons, and she was married 2nd in 1932 to Samuel Allen "Sam" Hall (1901–1960), the son of Samuel A Hall (1866–1936) and Bernice (Templeton) Hall (1865–1949).

Lucy had lived in Hendersonville before moving to Nashville in 1951, and she was married to dairy worker Sam Allen Hall Sr ( -ca 1960).

Living at 1011 Goodbar Drive in Nashville, Lucy died of cancer on June 16, 1963 at Mid-State Baptist Hospital, after being ill for three years. {It is noted that her cemetery marker incorrectly has her date of death as June 17, 1962.}

Survivors included daughters Mrs Catherine Louise Mullins, Mrs Annie Mazell Meador, Mrs Mary Lucille Stokes and Mrs Clara Thelma Miller, son Sam A Hall Jr, all in Nashville, sisters Mrs Clara Webb of Cottontown, Tennessee, Mrs Garett Maynard of Westmoreland, Tennessee and Mrs Cammie Dickens in Indianapolis, Indiana, brothers Robb Pryor at Gallatin, Tennessee, Edd Pryor of Nashville, Lewis Pryor of Alabama and Jimmy Pryor and thirteen grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held on June 18th at Vultee Church of Christ, where she was a member, and burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville.

Much of the above is from her Death Certificate, with Mrs Annie Meador of 1011 Goodbar Drive as the informant. Additional information is from her published obituary in NASHVILLE BANNER on June 18, 1963.
