She worked as a museum curator in Midland, Texas for many years. She was known to some of her grandkids as "Grammy" and others as "Gammy". She was the only daughter of William Harrison Ringer (born Dec. 4, 1861; died Nov 23, 1907) and Emma Arminda Miller (born Feb. 26, 1858; died Jan 23, 1896). Her mother died when she was just a toddler so she was raised by her Aunt Jane (Emma's sister). She married James Michael Connor August4, 1917 in Morganstown West Virginia. They had 5 children James, Dorothy, Mildred, Helen and Robert
