Benny Bozeman Barrow, 85, of Andalusia, passed away Thursday, June 04, 2015 at Andalusia Manor.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM Sunday, June 7, 2015 from First Baptist Church and interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services at the church. He was born on March 24, 1930 to Robert W. and Louise Bozeman Barrow.

Mr. Barrow was retired from State Farm Insurance and was also the owner of Recycling Resources. Mr. Benny was a long time member of the First Baptist Church; he served as Deacon, taught the boys Sunday school class, worked 35 years in the preschool, and was chosen as their Man of the Year.

He was also very active within the community. He was a Scout Leader as well as an Eagle Scout himself, served as the mayor of Andalusia for 2 terms, and was a member of the Rotary Club.

Benny served 37 total years in the military, 31 of those years being served in the National Guard. In 1951 with the army, he was mobilized in the Korean Conflict for 2 years. For 4 years he also served in the Reserves. He was a great son, grandson, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and was an outstanding person.
