Noelle Nicole New was born on Thursday, Thanksgiving day, November 28, 1996 in Chesterfield, MO, to Raymond Bryan New and Brand Cloud Whitmire. She attended school at Vian, Durant, Broken Arrow and Verdigris where she graduated with honors on May 15, 2015. Her dream was to attend Oklahoma University. She would have been a freshman there in the fall. She was killed instantly;her life stolen in a senseless act by two drunken brothers who were fist fighting in their pickup and ran her over on Friday, June 5, 2015, three weeks to the day she graduated from high school.
Her grieving family laid her to eternal rest on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at the Bunch Cemetery. She is survived by her mother,Brandy Cloud Whitmire of Verdigris, father and other mom Raymond Bryan and Amber Farris New of Sylvania, OH, her siblings Jack and Lillian Barnhill of Verdigris, Elyjah and Alexavier New of Sylvania,OH. Grandparents Karen (Hammett) and Loren Cook of Blackgum, Raymond New of Carrolton,TX, Tammy Briggs of Sallisaw, OK, Billy Cloud of Vian, OK, Chris and Pam Farris of Durant, OK. Great grandparents Mary Graham of Sallisaw, OK, and Harold and Velta Edwards of Durant, OK, and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her forever.
She was our dark haired, brown eyed beauty with a beautiful soul. She wrote on her facebook page shortly before her death: "I think when a person accepts Jesus as his savior, God goes to the angels, pulls out his wallet and shows that person's picture to the angels and says "Look guys! My baby is coming home! Let's have a party!" and they do."
I know there was a big party when our girl arrived.
