She married Kenneth Kendall and they divorced and then later married Miles Garrels and they divorced. She was of the Christian faith, spent many years on the Methodist Women Circles, was a supporter of "Youth For Christ", and many other Christian organizations. She formerly owned and operated the Heritage Mobile Home Court in Mt. Pleasant and was a land developer for many years. She enjoyed remodeling and redecorating, and loved gardening and flowers. She was a founding board member of the ADDS in Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ruby Alexander, brother, Gene Allison and one sister Beryl, who died in infancy.
