CHARLES CITY —Funeral
services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church at 9 a.m. Friday for Mrs. Anna Clara Ewen, 84. She died at the
Chautauqua Guest Home here Wednesday morning. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at Roseville. The Rosary will be recited at the Hauser Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Ewen had been a resident of the home for the past 21 months. She had been in failing health for the past three years.
A resident of the community about 20 years, she was born in Marble Rock Aug. 12, 1878, the daughter of Wencil and Mary Zezrak Musil. She was married to Nickolas Ewen at Roseville Jan. 9, 1900. He died in 1918. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Wilber Munshower, Charles City; Mrs. Victor Stauffer, Greene ; Mrs. Gladys Stoecker, Austin, Minn., four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a sister and two brothers.
