Hollister, Hope Allen, 70, of Clearwater died May 28 unexpectedly of natural causes in her home. Hope was the only child of Frederick Hollister of Pennsylvania and Clara (Allen) Hollister of Longmeadow, Mass. Hope spent most of her life in Pennsylvania and New York State. She worked in clerical positions while in New York and Clearwater. Hope also cared for her mother many years in New York and upon her mother’s passing moved to Clearwater, Florida to enjoy warmer weather. Hope enjoyed several interests with great enthusiasm. She spent many years working on genealogy for both the Allen and Hollister families. She made contributions to Find-A-Grave also. She frequently spent time with rescued greyhounds in her community and more recently started stamp collecting. Through the years Hope always maintained an interest in her extended family, recounting many wonderful memories as a child of the Allen reunions held in Longmeadow, Mass. Survivors include cousins, Philip Eastman Allen of N. Carolina, Eugene Gordon Allen of Connecticut and Davis Barton Allen of Turners Falls, Mass.
