Bessie Durham, 95, died Friday, July 21, 2000, at Methodist Medical Center.
Born Aug. 4, 1904, in Mount Vernon to Delos and Alice Hershey Gordon, she married William C. Durham on March 29, 1923, in Pekin. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by one son, two brothers, two sisters, a half brother and three half sisters.
Surviving are four sons, Dave (and Mary Lou), Ronald (and Karen), Steven, and Robert; and five daughters, Carol Sue (and David) Rivers, Katherine (and Bernard) Stolin, Gloria Raef, Lucille (and Donald) Shaw, and Rebecca Kiefer.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
