Mr. Goff was born in Winfield, Kansas on December 8, 1892 and was the oldest of 10 children. He was married on September 2, 1919 at Minburn to Hazel Burkholder. They enjoyed married life for 52 years.
He started farming in Dallas Center in 1919 on the farm where Orville Wagner now lives south of Dallas Center. They moved to Woodward in 1937 where he farmed until retiring at the age of 80. He was a veteran of World War I and a 50 year member of the American Legion. He was a member of the Christian Church in Woodward.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel and one son, Truman.
He is survived by two sons, John R. Goff of Aurora, Ill. and Hugh M. Goff of Cedar Rapids and one daughter, Helen Reid of Itasca, Ill.; eight grandchildren and five sisters.
