Geo. E. Braley was once Judge of Orleans County, Vermont and served one term in the Vermont legislature.
Married Sophia Hadlock of Jay, Vermont in 1862, one son born.
Came to Kansas 1886, and in June 1893 engaged in the dry goods and clothing business with his son, F.C. Baley. His wife and son are left to morn his departure. Remains laid to rest in the East Side Cemetery.
