SHOPIERE—Ernest Markley, 64, retired employee of the Chevrolet plant in Janesville, died Monday in St. Clare Hospital, Monroe, where he had been a patient since May 31. He had lived in Shopiere since 1937, coming here from Beloit. A native of Clark County, born Feb. 5, 1902, he married Eva Martin Oct. 23, 1925, at Waukegan, Ill. He was a member of First Methodist Church here. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, at home; three sisters, including Mrs. Isabel Brochus, Beloit; three brothers, Charles and William, both of Beloit, and Fred, of Shopiere. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
