Burr Hendrickson, son of Vincent and Millie Hendrickson, was born in Dubois County,
Indiana, January 28, 1837. He was married to Sarah Stark, May 16, 1857 by Allen Brooner, United Brethren Minister. He was a member of Company B, 42nd Regiment, Indiana during
the Civil War. He was captured and held prisoner at Andersonville. He was in such poor physical condition that he could not hope to escape, but did help others. He died April 21, 1910. He and his wife are buried in Mt. Olive Cemetery near Farmersburg, Indiana.
They had the following children: James Vincent, Oliver Perry, Andrew Jackson, Mehitabel Margaret, Isora Louellen, William Rudolphus, Epry Otis, Marquis Lafayette, and Edna Frances.
