She was born August 29, 1930 in St. Joseph, MO the daughter of Clarence and Gwendola (Nance) Petty.
In October 1950, she married W. Keith Lewis. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kenneth and William Petty and sister, Darlene Taylor.
She worked as a program director and teacher. Her memberships included the State Planning’s Commission; Rolling Hills Creative Living board and the Hammer Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include son, Brian K. Lewis, Albany, MO; daughter, Brenda K. Lewis (Richard) Berkshire, Gower, MO; 3 grandsons, Jesse, Bryce and Blain; 1 Great Grandson, Raiden and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9 at Hammer Memorial United Methodist Church, King City, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, King City, MO. Mrs. Lewis has been cremated. Inurnment will be at a later date in King City Cemetery, King City. There will be no visitation.
