PERU, Ind., Feb 4--- Mrs. Laura Herrell, 59, widow of John Herrell, of Miami, died Tuesday in a Peru nursing home on West Main street. She had been ill four years and had been a patient at the nursing home for three weeks.
Survivors include three children: Everett Herrell and Mrs. Virgil Harris, both of Miami, and Cecil Herrell of Peru. Surviving also are a brother and sister, Charles Sigler of Peru and Mrs. James Mullius of Marcelus, Mich., together with 14 grandchildren.
Born in Miami on March 23, 1888, the deceased was a daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Rigler) Sigler. She was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist church. Her husband died in 1946.
Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Miami Wesleyan Methodist church with interment in Miami cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church for two hours prior to the services.
The body is at the Eikenberry funeral home where friends may call.
