Rock Hill –Ms. Edna Coggins, 91 of Rock Hill passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at her home.

Services for Ms. Coggins will be held at 2:00 PM,Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC with Rev. Gerald Bennett officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM til the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ms. Coggins was born in Speedwell, Jackson County, North Carolina and the daughter of the late James Garfield and Ethel Stewart Coggins. She was the sixth of eleven children. She was employed as a business teacher for over 40 years primarily at Glenville High School and Franklin High School. During that time, she did not miss one day of school due to sickness. She only missed for a short period of time due to an injury. She also worked from 1956 after school and on weekends at High Hampton Inn until 1980. In addition to her parents, Ms. Coggins was preceded in death by her brothers, Vernon L. Coggins, Burean Uvaughn Coggins, Henry C. Coggins, Woodrow Coggins and George W. Coggins; and her sisters, Bonnie I. Coggins, Jerdie C. Bryson, Bessie Mae C. Moss and Brona Lee C. Turney.

Ms. Coggins is survived by her sister, Moqueta C. Sutton and numerous nephews and nieces.
