Mrs. Victor (Beulah Mae Cox) Brooks, 89, of Newton, died Sept. 16, 1989, in Newton Resthaven Nursing Home. Services will be in Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton. Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery, Crooked Creek Township.
Mrs. Brooks was born in Jasper County, daughter of Joseph Martin and Lenora Cox. She was a former teacher in Willow Hill School District, member of Falmouth United Methodist Church and former member of Rebekah Lodge. She married Victor L. Brooks in 1921. He died in 1973.
Surviving are her sons, Larry, Ralph and Kenneth, all of Newton; Harold of Flora; daughters Mrs. Patricia Hippler of Le Claire, Iowa; Mrs. Wanda Bracket of Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Sharon Gerber of Champaign; 28 grandchildren.
Two sons, one daughter, one brother and four sisters preceded her in death.
