Helga R. Kubik August 12, 1931 June 5, 2015 Helga R. Kubik, 83, of Bellefonte, died Friday, June 5, 2015, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College. She was born, August 12, 1931 in Oppein, East Germany. Helga worked as a seamstress for many years. Among the things she enjoyed most were crocheting, knitting, sewing, quilting, reading and walking. Surviving Mrs. Kubik is one daughter Helga "Cookie" D. Tate of State College; two sons John Kormanic (Kelley) of Newton Hamilton, and Jason Kormanic (Lisa) of Bellefonte; eight grandchildren, Daisy Hartley, Chrystal and Roy Kauffman and Richard Tate II and Helga Tate; John Joshua and Jessica Kormanic and four great grandchildren; and many relatives who survive in East Germany. Friends will be received form 10:00 to 11:00 am on Monday, June 8, 2015, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. The funeral service will follow immediately at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to The Bellefonte Senior Citizen Center, 203 N. Spring St., Bellefonte, PA16823.
