Funeral services for Joseph Franklin Alexander, 57, Southern Pacific Lines engineer, who died in the railroad’s hospital in Houston Monday, were held Wednesday from the Keever Chapel in Ennis. Burial was in Myrtle cemetery.
For the past four years he had been engineer of the switch engine in the Corsicana yards, but made his home in Ennis. He was a life-long resident of Ennis.
Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. O. R. Ellis, Mrs. R. S. Stewart and Mrs. O. B. McKee, all of Dallas; Mrs. J. H. Matthews, Hearne, and Mrs. L. F. Roberts, Houston; and a brother, A. D. Alexander, Ennis.
