Bennie Charles Bell, 69, of Moore died Monday, June 26. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today at Hillside Cemetery, Purcell. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home -- Chapel, Moore.
Mr. Bell was born June 9, 1937, in Purcell, to James and Stella Bell. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked at Tinker Air Force Base for over 30 years. He enjoyed working on computers and doing genealogy, but his first love was his family.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Twila Bell; sons Michael Bell of Moore and Steven Bell and fiance' Karen Babcock of Norman; eight grandchildren, Brandon Babcock, Tyler, Twyla, William and Steven Jr. Bell, Sophie and Reva Wooters and William Taylor; two sisters, Chessteen Olsen and husband Alvin of Lexington and Wanda Ward of Purcell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
