Amy L. Woodard, 24, of Danville and formerly of Cayuga, Ind., died at 2:24 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center.

She was born June 3, 1976, in Danville, Ill., a daughter of Paul and Edna (Freed) Woodard.

Survivors include: her parents, Paul "Cork" (Edna) Woodard of Cayuga, Ind.; two brothers, Paul Woodard and Charles Woodard, both of Cayuga, Ind.; her maternal grandmother, Rose Freed of Cayuga, Ind.; five aunts and uncles, Joyce and Paul Newnum of Tangier, Ind., Bill and Sandy Woodard, Dale and Loretta Freed, John Freed, Penny and Steve Watkins and Evelyn Freed, all of Cayuga, Ind.; two aunts, Sheryl Richards of Georgetown, Ill., and Betty Woodard of Cayuga, Ind.; an uncle, Joe Daniels of Cayuga, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, her paternal grandparents, two uncles and two aunts.

A 1995 graduate of North Vermillion High School, she attended and played softball for Robinson College in Robinson for a year and a half. She was employed as a cook at What's Cooking catering in Danville and enjoyed fishing, playing cards and art.

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at De Verter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Ind.; Officiating: the Rev. Grover Williams; Burial: Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Ind.; Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, at the funeral home.
