MR. ERNEST WALDO COOK, age 85, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Warner Robins Healthcare & Rehab in Warner Robins.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, June 14, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Myron Parkerson and Rev. Larry Mullis officiating, with interment in Bay Springs Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Plainfield.
Mr. Cook was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of Eastman First Free Will Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired aircraft electrician for Robins AFB. He was a former owner & operator of Middle Georgia Used Cars and he enjoyed woodworking and working outdoors. He was son of the late Frances Smith Cook & Ernest Zeno Cook and was preceded in death by a Sister, Wilsene Andrews.
Survivors: Wife, Reba Parkerson Cook of Eastman; Daughter, Lisa Cook Yee (Dennis) of Atlanta; 3 Sons, Ricky Cook, David Cook both of Warner Robins and Kevin Cook (Mi Hye) of Belleville, IL; 6 Grandchildren, Benjamin Yee, Evie Yee, Ashley Green (Kenneth), Michael Cook, Jaimi Cook and Molly Cook; Sister, Carlene Benton (Harvey); 3 Brothers, Wilton Cook of Douglas, James Cook (Mattie) of Summerville, SC and Billy Cook of Gwinn, MI; Several Nieces and Nephews.
The family may be contacted at the Cook residence, 22 Olive Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Saturday, June 13.
