DALLAS CENTER -- A funeral for Violet Johnson, 93, of the Hillhaven Convalescent Center West at West Des Moines was held Nov. 5, 1985 at the United Methodist Church here. Mrs. Johnson died of a heart ailment Nov. 1 at the convalescent center.
Burial was in the Brethren Cemetery at Dallas Center.
Born July 3, 1892 at Omaha, Neb., she had lived at Crofton, Neb. and Dallas Center before moving to the convalescent center. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include five daughters, Esther Buterbaugh of Dallas Center, Roberta Nicholas of Salem, Ore., Charlotte Hanten of Akron, Ohio, Reba Beasley of Falls Church, Va. and Joyce Weber of Eastport, Maine; three sons, Kenneth of Osceola, Robert of Princeton, Mo. and Michael of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Dwight Holtz of Winterset; 24 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
