John S. Richey services held
Funeral services for John S. Richey were held Friday afternoon at Center Baptist Church with the Rev. Clark Rakestraw, Rev. H. L Barnes, Jr. and Rev. Ponquest officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Richey, 85, died last Wednesday at Union County General Hospital. He was a retired farmer and a resident of Blue Springs.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bertha Rakestraw Richey of Blue Springs; five sons, Hermon L. Richey of New Albany, Jim Richey and Willis Richey of Tupelo, Joe Richey of Columbus and Thomas Richey of Fort Worth, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Elder of New Albany, Mrs. Bessie Donnahoo and Mrs. Virgie Potter of Fort Worth, Texas and Mrs. Bonnie Dunlap of Bisbee, Arizona; two brother, Ben Richey and Potter Richey of New Albany; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Davis and Mrs. Beulah Treadaway, both of Blue Springs; 25 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
United Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
