Vito Corso was born June 29, 1869 in Ventimiglia di Sicillia, Palmero, Sicillia,Italy. His parents were Luciano Corso and Marina Sansone. He married Giuseppa (aka Josephine) Guarino in Termini Imerese, Palermo, Sicilla, Italy in 1897. All though Vito had been here before on occasions, he and his wife came here to stay around 1899 and lived in Maryland. By 1910 they were living in Richmond, Virginia. Vito was a fruit vendor for the duration of his working life. He became naturalized October 9, 1918. Together Vito and Josephine had four children. Vito died at the age of 81 on Feruary 25, 1951. At the time he was a patient at Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg, Virginia for 22 days. His cause of death was general arteriosclerosis.
