Anna H. & Melville H. Fleming lived in their nine room house (2250 B St, San Diego) with their children until January 17, 1925 when they transferred title to Dr. Horace E. Collins & Luella Collins. The Flemings built a two story house at 4249 Arden Way in Mission Hills, where they lived until his death in 1928.

Dr. Collins was a dentist in Wichita, Kansas who moved with his family to San Diego in 1906. He practiced dentistry in San Diego for twenty three years, until ill health forced him to retire in 1929. For sixteen years he maintained offices in the Watts Building. His son, Clarence, also a dentist moved to San Diego to take over his father's practi ce in the Watts Building.

Dr. Horace Collins was a member of San Diego Masonic Lodge 35F &M, Royal Arch Masons San Diego Scottish Rite, Al Bahr Shriner Temply, San Diego Pyramid of Sciots, and San Diego Dental Society. Dr. Collins died October 1, 1934 at his home, 2250 "B" Street, his wife Luella continued to live alone at that address.
