Ted was the son of Paul & Mary A. (Boudreau) Boisvert and the husband of Dorothy (Gregory) Boisvert. He was employed as an engineer at the local radio station. He served as a deacon of the First Baptist Church of St. Albans and was active in many other capacities. His membership came from a transfer from the FBC of Montpelier VT on 19 Jan 1930. His funeral service was conducted by his pastor, the Rev. John Burbank.
