Obituary

ETTA – CV Willard, 84, died Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford. He was born January 9, 1931, to James Odis Willard and Erma Castleberry Willard Kidd. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired brick mason. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2015, at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Jason Pilcher and Bro. Clarence Cooper Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery. United Funeral Service will be in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Willard; two daughters, Brenda Jo Harris and Bonnie Sue McCuiston; four sons, Richard Lynn Willard, David Wayne Willard, Clarence Cooper Jr. and Charlie Cooper; four sisters, Sharon Burt, Deverlin Forsythe, Marilyn Camp and Mae Kidd White; four brothers, Thomas Kidd, Billy Willard, Hubbard Willard and Melvin Willard; 11 grandchildren, Jeffrey Willard, Steven Willard, Jennifer Willard, Caleb Willard, Joel Willard, Ginger Presley, Dalton Harris, Austin Harris, Nicole Ray, Josh McCuiston and Brian McCuiston; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Marion Magdalene Willard; his stepmother, Irene Willard Whiteside; four brothers, James, Melvis, Doyce and Robert Dean; and two great-grandchildren, Harper Willard and Micah Wade Willard.
His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 14, 2015, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home and on Monday from 10 a.m. to service time at the church.
In honor of Mr. Willard's military service, United Funeral Service will fly the U.S. Army flag during his visitation and service.
