Survivors include his wife, Silverlee Hagel of Fredericksburg; two sons, Chris Hagel of Bryan and Keith Hagel of Fredericksburg; two daughters, Kay Wright of Fredericksburg and Kelle Rodriguez of San Antonio; his parents, Ben C. and Lucille Hagel of Fredericksburg; nine grandchildren.
