Cause of Death: Brain Cancer

Career:
WTVF-Channel 5, Television journalist known to be an articulate woman who reported the news from Nashville to Afghanistan to Iraq.

Always smiled, strong lady, a joy to watch on tv.

ALSOBROOKS, DANA K. Birth Nov 07, 1955 Death Jun 30, 2006 Dana Kaye wanted to be a spy with the CIA but instead ended up a news reporter. Her father, who was a military intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force, probably inspired her fascination with snooping and sleuthing. Though traveling the country as a military brat took her to places from sea to shining sea, it was her family's stint in Alaska that left the most vivid memories. She was there during the history-making earthquake that measured 9.2 on the Richter scale and says that years of "showing and telling" about the phenomenon may have been her first reporting job.
