This community was saddened Sunday afternoon by news of the untimely death of little Jimmy Chamberlain, 11 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Chamberlain, who sank to his death in Holtgren's pond, where he was enjoying a swim with three of his little friends.
James Edward Chamberlain was born in Hampshire on March 15, 1926. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Eugene and Richard and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Chamberlain, of Stark, Ill. He was a sunny little chap and a favorite among his playmates.
Funeral services were held from St. Charles Catholic church yesterday morning at 9:30, conducted by Rev. Fr. Meilinger. Burial was in Hampshire Catholic cemetery.
