Susan T. Bashaw, 58, of Monroe, passed away at 5:14 p.m. Saturday at Monroe Promedica Regional Hospital.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until services at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Rupp Funeral Home. Rev. Brian Southerland, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, will officiate. In accordance to Susan’s wishes cremation will follow.
Susan was born June 21, 1956 in Monroe. She was the daughter of Jack and Jeanette (Lavigne) Bashaw, Sr.
She loved to spend time with her family. In fact, she and her sister Geri were inseparable until Geri’s death in February 2014. Susan had a great sense of humor and a strong will that enabled her to accomplish things that many people thought she couldn’t. In her younger years she enjoyed painting ceramics and doing crafts.
She is survived by a brother, Jack (Alice) Bashaw, Jr. of Monroe; ten nieces and nephews, April (Rick) Waltbillig, Susanne (Scott Sexton) Vinson, Arthur (Andrea) Vinson, David Vinson, Angie (Joel) Burkey, Heidi Bashaw, Jack (Nicole) Bashaw, III, Jeremy (Nicole) Bashaw, Jeanette Bashaw and Zachary Bashaw and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her sister Geraldine “Geri” Vinson, she is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Arthur Bashaw and a nephew, Hunter Bashaw.
