Jerry was kind, caring, giving, and will be greatly missed. He was born on January 24, 1940 in Iredell County, to the late Arthur Elbert and Ruth Wilson Orbison.
Jerry was retired from Duke Energy and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Mt. Ulla, N C.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Overcash.
He is survived by his wife, eight children, brother, and eleven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, at Centenary United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Swofford and Rev. Michael Strickland officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM in the church parlor.
Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, is serving the Orbison family.
